The architecture of the hotel is created as reminiscence of the Art Déco buildings of the Golden Twenties of the last century in New York and Chicago and forms a balanced contrast to the other modern buildings made of glass and steel at the Potsdamer Platz. In the Brasserie Desbrosses, guests can experience genuine French savoir vivre, coupled with first-class cuisine and attentive service. The interior dates back to 1875 and once decorated a brasserie in Southern Burgundy. The Tea Lounge is also a popular meeting place. Here, you can choose from over 60 carefully selected varieties of tea and receive advice from our specially trained Tea Master. The heart of the hotel are The Curtain Club and Fragrances– both bars a popular meeting point for night revelers and connoisseurs.
Description of the meeting rooms and conference facilities: The Bel Étage of our house, which can be reached by ascending the 10 meter/32,8 feet high marble stairs, is a total of 1800 square meters/18,299 square feet large, and offers the perfect location for your event. The magnificent 910 square meter/9,800 square feet Grand Ballroom has a working height of 5,50 meters/18,04 feet and is dividable into three separate parts. Nine large chandeliers illuminate the Grand Ballroom in a brilliant light, and the wall paneling are made of high class cherry wood. The adjacent Grand Foyer, 470 square meters/1542 square feet has the perfect ambiance for receptions and coffee breaks. Furthermore we are able to provide six meeting rooms with daylight as well as two private salons in the lobby area. The greatest possible comfort is ensured by our conference concierge and the service provided in our business center.
